The 2016 edition of the New York International Auto Show is just days away. From March 25 to April 3, thousands of car enthusiasts and a sizeable contingent from the automotive press will descend on the Jacob Javits Center in New York City to see what’s in store from dozens of automakers. Porsche will be contributing to the “International” part of the show by giving three of their vehicles their North American debuts at the show.
We’ve mentioned all three of the vehicles in this space previously, and we’re already eagerly awaiting their arrival here at Porsche of Nashua. They are:
The 2017 Porsche 911 R The latest — and fiercest — iteration of the legendary 911 Porsche is being produced in a strictly limited edition. Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you’re one of the 991 people who had the foresight to get one early), the edition is already sold out, but this public appearance will be a chance to see a car that’s been stripped down to the bare essentials, shedding accessories (and weight) to gain better acceleration, speed, and handling.
The 2017 Porsche Macan We had reported earlier that there didn’t appear to be a name yet for the new trim level in the Macan series. As it turns out, it’s Macan. That’s it. No added letters or numbers needed. It’s an entry-level trim that promises a top speed of 142 mph, thanks to a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine and seven-speed dual clutch PDK transmission. Pre-orders have already started, with deliveries expected to start this July, so stop by our showroom for further information.
The 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S receive improved chassis. The former also boasts a new flat-four engine that displaces two liters and puts out 300 hp, while the S variant increases both displacement and horsepower (2.5 liters and 350 horsepower).
2017 is much closer to Porsche dealers than it looks on the calendar. Come to Porsche of Nashua at 170 Main Dunstable Road in Nashua, NH to browse our new inventory, or to find out more about the upcoming Porsche models.
