What’s coming to New England Porsche dealers for the 2017 model year? We’re glad you asked. While the 2017 Porsche Macan will be practically identical to its 2016 counterpart, many other models featured here at Porsche of Nashua feature significant changes for model year 2017. Here are some highlights.

2017 Porsche Macan: The Porsche Macan adds a new GTS trim model with a twin-turbo V-6 engine (3.0 liters, 360 horsepower, 369 lb.-ft. of torque) coupled to the same 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and Porsche Traction Management system found in the Porsche Macan Turbo. Tack on the Sport Chrono package for top speeds of 159 miles per hour and enjoy the standard leather finish. There’s also a new base trim with a lighter curb weight and a still-respectable turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 252 horsepower. All trims receive improvements to power steering and upgraded safety features.

2017 Porsche Panamera: The Porsche Panamera takes a second look to appreciate its redesign. It’s subtle, but leaves the sedan much better proportioned. 4S and Turbo trims with AWD have been introduced, the former with a 440 hp engine and the latter with a smaller-displacement V-8 that puts out 550 horsepower. The tail end of 2017 may also see the introduction of new power trains, including a plug-in-hybrid.

2017 Porsche 718 Boxster / 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman: These cars are twins in most every respect except their tops. The former wears a convertible, while the latter has a hardtop. They’re completely redesigned from their non-718-badged predecessors with powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engines that put out a nearly frightening amount of torque. While similar in size to their predecessors, these cars do the racing heritage of their Porsche 718 namesake proud.

You may be wondering, “How could you leave out the 2017 Porsche 911?” We haven’t forgotten. We’ll be turning the spotlight on the venerated two-seater next week.
