A lot of buzz has been surrounding the 2021 Porsche Taycan. What do we know so far about the 2021 model, and how does it differ from the outgoing model? Let’s examine some of the features to find out why there is so much fervor.
New Infotainment Specs
The infotainment has been upgraded with a new multimedia system. Aside from the addition of SiriusXM 360L, Apple podcasts are also available as an independent media source. This gives you increased flexibility when customizing your media preferences.
There is also a new head-up display system that projects the menu screen and data points onto the windshield. See the data as it appears on the windshield and changes in real-time as you fiddle with the system.
On the display screen, you’ll also be able to adjust the vehicle’s charging capacity with the addition of the battery’s new preservation system called the Plug & Charge. Change to the recommended settings to minimize power loss during a charge and extend overall battery life. You can restrict charging to around 200kW at public Electrify America charging stations.
New Smartlift Function
The Porsche Taycan has a new adaptive air suspension with a GPS-enabled Smartlift function. The Smartlift memorizes locations you regularly commute in and will automatically elevate the suspension in areas of the road with bumpier terrains and multiple speed bumps and dips. This is a pivotal feature as suspension damage can lead to a chain of other problems like tire misalignment, damaged shocks and struts, and faulty ball joints.
The 2021 Porsche Taycan will be released in 2021. In the meantime, visit Porsche Nashua to see the current inventory or view the Porsche special offers in Nashua, NH.
